| Alaskan Artist Alaskan Artist was created in 2003, which primarily consisted of Handcrafts, Fine Art and Screen printed Alaskan inspired T-shirt designs & Tote bags. Alaska has a very substantial tourism industry so my products were geared toward that demographic. An unfortunate collapse in the local tourism market forced me to seek employment and put Alaskan Artist in a holding pattern for a while. In the interim I decided to seek out a Digital Design Diploma from The Art Institute Online, which enable me to work and attend class at the same time. I honed my design skills and started creating collateral items for a few small local businesses. In March of 2007 I earned my Digital Design Diploma and was given the Deans Award. |
